Veronica Border Sunny Blue

Veronica Border Sunny Blue was the 1992 Perennial Plant Association’s Plant of the Year. Showy dark violet blue spikes are eye catching and very attractive in the garden.

The common name for this plant is speedwell.  A carefree plant which is easy to maintain and care for.

A tall hybrid speedwell that has a dense upright appearance. Flower spikes rise 18-24″ tall and has a wrinkled , dark green leaves .

Veronica is a very long blooming perennial. Blooms summer to last fall months in a sunny location  . Making it a idea plant to have in your landscape.  Does best in zones 4-8 location.

Does best in moist soil with good drainage.  You can divide every 3 years in spring or fall . To keep the plants appearance fresh you can shear back 1/2 after flowering. In late autumn you can prune down to basal growth

Veronica Sunny Border Blue does attract butterflies, and other insects making it beneficial for your garden.

I combined this plant with moonbean coreopsis and it looks very pretty together .. When you mix purple and yellow flowers together they compliment each other.
