Collecting hosta seeds is fun and rewarding .
Each fall you can go out in your hosta gardens and collect them when the pods are brownest tan, some may have even split open by the time you get out to them as they have for me today.
Pick either the pods or stem and pods which may be easier to do .
Place them in a dry area to further their drying and then store in bag, jar , envelope in a cool dry area.
