In the fall is the time to cleanup your outdoor container plants, that is if you live in an cold area.
Fall is for yard cleanup and container cleanup time.
If you container plants have died because of frost, now is the time to discard and throw into the compost pile.
If you have some disease problems with a particular plant or container, do not throw in the compost bin. It would be better to burn those belongings.
Think of fall cleanup as a time to add great nutrients to your compost pile. All plants will become soil and the process will and does start all over again when you used this soil to add to your garden or pots for the next season.
Happy Composting!
