Rosy Maidenhair Fern Adiantum hispidulum
This is a new fern being introduced and it will be a annual in my area , that is outside it also will make a nice houseplant. Can’t wait to see this one!
Thanks to Australia for this beautiful colorful fern.
Its new fronds are pinkish-red and brighten its delicate foliage.
It is considered hardy along the Gulf Coast as far north as Dallas, California coastal areas and the Atlantic coast as far north as Charleston.
As with many ferns it may be hardy in colder climates, but in microclimates where it is nurtured with special conditions.
Its general appearance is similar to the Five Finger Maidenhair, but with colorful new foliage.
It is evergreen along the coast, but deciduous further north.
It does well in the home and in combination with outdoor colorful plants seasonally in the north.
Grown as a annual or houseplant except is hardy in Zones 7-10
Grows to a height of 18-24 inches .
Happy Gardening
🙂
